Under the umbrella of Building Tomorrow, we will therefore be bundling all our sustainability activities in the future, such as our group-wide climate protection strategy ARDEX goes Zero.

Our new investments in production facilities strengthen local business in our sales markets. They secure jobs where we want to sell our products. In this way, we promote the economy of the region and also reduce the burden on the environment through short freight routes.

Sustainable construction

Sustainable construction is becoming increasingly important. The aim is to design buildings that help to save energy in the long term, conserve resources, and maintain the health and well-being of users. For some time now, buildings have been able to be assessed and certified for their sustainability using various certification systems such as the American LEED system or the German Sustainable Building Council’s “German Sustainable Building Label.” These systems also take into account the different types of buildings (e.g., office and administrative buildings, schools, airports, etc.). The building as a whole is always assessed in terms of its sustainability. Individual building materials cannot therefore be classified as sustainable or non-sustainable. In addition to a purely ecological consideration, it is also always crucial whether the building materials used have a positive influence on the sustainability of the building in terms of functionality and quality – based on the entire life cycle. Here too, ARDEX is available to advise its customers on product selection.
